 Mazatlan is a city in Mexico. It is located in the state of Sinaloa. It is located on the Pacific coast, just across from the southern tip of Baja California.

  Mazatlan is a word of the language of Nahuatl and means "place of deer" or "land of deer". The city was founded in 1820. In the second half of the nineteenth century there was a large group of German immigrants in the city, became a prosperous trading port. The town's development was mainly based on importing equipment for the nearby gold and silver mines. In the period 1859-1873 Mazatlan
was the capital of Sinaloa.

  Mazatlán, with a population of 438.434 (in 2010) is the second largest city in the state of Sinaloa and the largest commercial port in Mexico. The city is a popular tourist destination, many resort hotels along the beach are the visible evidence. The location of the lighthouse is 152 meters above sea level in the second highest elevation in the world after Gibraltar. A ferry provides trade relations across the Gulf of California from Mazatlán to La Paz

In 2005, Mazatlan hosted the "Serie del Caribe". This is a baseball tournament with teams from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic.

 Mazatlan is accessible by air through the General Rafael Buelna International Airport.

This port has many attractions and tours for all ages such as surfing, horseback riding, parasailing, contact with nature, beaches, boat ride, fishing, jet skiing and endless activities.

Its climate, its people, and places become the port of Mazatlan in a unique tourist destination. Definitely worth a holiday in the pearl of the Pacific.

Mazatlan is one of the tourist destinations that were popular in 2011 according to the poll of Google Zeitgeist 2010: What the world searched.

He was in second place just below Cancun. No wonder the world look for Mazatlan has several unique features. For example, the tour offers the longest boardwalk in Mexico. Only here you will find the highest natural lighthouse in the world. One of the best sunsets in all of Mexico can be seen only here.

Throughout the year, various activities and festivals observed such as the Bike Week, the famous carnival, the marathon to name just a few.
